My name is Jason Schrader, It has been my honour and absolute pleasure to serve as the president for local 3730 for the past few years. In this role I have always had the members best interest at heart in an open and transparent way. I have been employed with The Greater Saskatoon school Board since 2015, currently the Head Caretaker at Ecole St Paul. I have 23 years of caretaking experience both in the private and public sector.
When I’m not elbows deep in Union and political activism you will find me watching some Nascar Racing while playing in my custom Lego room that I share with my son Asher I’m a lover of animals, puzzles coffee, and being outside when the sun is shinning. I’m especially known to be living the dream!!

I am blessed to be a member of CUPE Local 3730. I have served in various Union positions throughout the years as Shop Steward from 2009-2011 and 2016-2017 and as a Trustee from 2011-2016. Currently I serve our local as the Secretary Treasurer, a position I have had since 2017. I have been a representative for our Local on both the Labour Relations Committee (2010 to 2018) and the Workplace Safety Committee (fall of 2013 to 2018) in the past and I have once again been elected as a member of the Negotiations Committee for the next round of bargaining. My current position with the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Board is as Building Operator at Bethlehem Catholic High School. It truly is an honour to continue to work for you, the members of this local.

I have been with GSCS since 2002 and have served on the executive for 15 years as both a Shop Steward and Recording Secretary. I have been married to my lovely wife for 18 years and am a father to two boys. We have one dog named Chewbacca. I thank the membership for giving the me opportunity to serve for all these years and into the future.

Aaron Vopni has been employed as a carpenter with Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools for over three years. After studying music at the University of Saskatchewan, I completed my Journeyperson certificate as a carpenter in 2012. I have a vast commercial carpentry experience working with Allan Construction and Quorex Construction. Outside of work as a tradesperson, I am Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces working with the Canadian Cadet Organization. In my spare time, I enjoy playing many sports such as hockey, slow pitch, dodgeball, basketball and more. I hold a Wine Spirts Education & Trust Level 3 and enjoy wine and spirit tasting. I am active in Saskatoon playing snare drum in the 63 Legion Pipes and Drums band, and play the Last Post on trumpet each year at the Saskatoon Remembrance Day Service. I am married to my wonderful wife Ivy Armstrong and we have two adopted cat brothers – Alsace Lorraine and Vimy Champagne

I have been a part of our local since 2013. I have been a trustee, and now our communication officer. I have been in a CUPE Sask, and a CUPE national committee. My job as a communication officer is to work on and update our zoom, website, and be the person who can get members in contact to the right person in the executive.
