We, the members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local No. 3730 are the helping hands that make schools safer. Our Local provides caretaking services, maintenance services, grounds keeping services, and help shape the atmosphere of a school’s environment. The members of this Local strive to ensure the best care is provided to the buildings we service and keep a lasting relationship with the communities around the schools.
The work of our members does ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment at all of our schools we service. Our members also perform the grounds keeping, equipment maintenance, inspections, and various other tasks in the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division. Our Local consists of Caretakers, Building Operators, Electricians, Carpenters, Plumbers, Painters, Skilled Labourers, and various other positions as well.
The Local supports its members through collective bargaining agreements, union educational seminars, quality of life increases, structured membership meetings and if needed grievance procedures.
